From the film 'Victoria No. 203' to the film 'Taxi No. 9211', Hindi cinema has a long and interesting tradition of comic thriller stories. The comic thriller is considered to be the most raptistic category of stories and recently even veterans like Subhash Ghai and Sameer Nair have burnt their hands in '36 Farmhouses' and 'Kaun Bane Shikharvati' respectively. Hindi the crime thriller has now been taken the lead in getting its lost status by the two filmmakers, who along with Manoj Bajpayee have given a new desi colour to the spy thriller series 'Family Man'. Both of them are filmmakers Raj and DK and after making the film 'Cinemabandi' for Netflix, for the same OTT, they are going to bring the series 'Guns and Roses'.
Raj and DK i.e. director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. The two have kept a distance from the big screen for a long time and these days have completely dedicated themselves to OTT stories. Between making the first and second seasons of 'Family Man' with Manoj Bajpayee, the duo has also started an OTT series with Shahid Kapoor and Raashi Khanna. The work of this series is almost complete and the work on its post production is going on at a fast pace.
Apart from this, Raj and DK have also recently signed actor Rajkummar Rao for one of their projects, in which there is talk of having Bhumi Pednekar with them. This may also be an attempt to warm up Rajkummar Rao's 'Badhaai Do' because the trailer of this story of the story of a PT teacher who is in love with a gay girl has not been liked much. Rajkummar Rao is happy with his career momentum with two houses ahead four houses behind.
Now on Monday, the series 'Guns and Roses' which Netflix has announced and whose names of Raj and DK have been coined as directors, it will be revealed only after the chit or pata fall of the chit or pata that it is. Like all other filmmakers in Mumbai, Raj and DK are no longer making series with OTT money. He is making series and selling OTT. 'Guns and Roses' is one such story. This will be his first series with Netflix as a director.
This time too Suman Kumar and Sumit Arora have helped Raj and DK write the web series 'Guns and Roses'. At the recent annual meeting of Netflix, its condition was found to be very bad in India. The previous teams of this OTT have spent all the unsold or canned goods of Hindi cinema in Netflix, due to which its branding value has been greatly damaged in India. Netflix's marketing team is also not aware of the OTT market spreading in the country's towns and small towns, nor has the team been able to identify any of the neutral media platforms so far. Experts say that Netflix will have to change its marketing strategy for success in India, right now these people are trying to sell 'Sacred Games' to those who watch 'Sanskar TV'.
